Chicagoland comes alive in the springtime. This season also marks the beginning of what our real estate agents like to call "market season" in Chicagoland, which extends throughout the summer and winds down in the fall. Whether you're looking for arts and crafts, fresh produce, or any other local, handmade goods, you'll find them at these upcoming spring and summer markets and craft fairs in the Chicago area.
- Lincoln Square Farmers Market - 4513 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60625. Chicago has several excellent weekly farmers' markets throughout the warmer months. The Lincoln Square Farmers Market is one of the first to get going in spring, and it's also one of our favorites. Taking place Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons in the heart of Lincoln Square, this market unites 50-plus vendors ranging from farmers to artisans. Both markets are already underway and extend through November 18, 2025.
- Wicker Park Farmers Market - 1425 N Damen Ave, Chicago, IL 60622. People flock to the weekly Wicker Park Farmers Market every Sunday for the 2025 season. A staple of the vibrant Wicker Park neighborhood for 25 years, this market brings together dozens of weekly and rotating vendors, ensuring that the offerings are never the same. In addition to produce, baked goods, and other local foods, expect to find unique handmade beauty products, cut flowers, and more.
- Do Division Street Fest - 2100 W Division St, Chicago, IL 60622. The Do Division Street Fest is one of the biggest events of the year in West Town. Overtaking a long stretch of Division Street between Wicker Park and Ukrainian Village, this massive street fair includes food vendors and live music on two stages. Do Division Street Fest also offers dozens of arts and crafts vendors offering prints, jewelry, pottery, decor, and more. This year's event takes place on May 30.
- Maxwell Street Market - Maxwell Street between S. Halsted St. and S. Union Ave. The Maxwell Street Market is a true Chicago tradition, as it's been happening for nearly 100 years. Come to Maxwell street to enjoy goods from local farmers, small businesses, gardeners, artists, makers, and resellers. Plus, it's where you can find some of the best Mexican and Latin American food in the city. This once-a-month market takes place on select Sundays, starting in May and extending until October.
- Gold Coast Art Fair - S Lake Shore Dr & E Monroe St, Chicago, IL 60601. For 67 years, Chicago's luxurious Gold Coast neighborhood has hosted the Gold Coast Art Fair, where collectors and artisans gather to celebrate a weekend of food, art, music, and more.
