Somerset's annual Pumpkin Patch mixes fall charm with plenty of family fun. Kids can decorate their own pumpkins, show off costumes in contests, or get a balloon animal while grabbing a complimentary cotton candy.. If that isn't enough, try face painting or have fun trick-or-treating.

Even if you're not lacing up, the Chicago Marathon is one of the city's great spectacles. More than 40,000 runners wind through neighborhoods across 26.2 miles, cheered on by crowds lining the streets. Whether you catch the start downtown, the lakefront stretch, or the lively South Side blocks, the energy of race day is contagious.

Get ready for Full Spectrum Features 10th Anniversary Party.
Independent film collective Full Spectrum Features marks its 10th year with a party that doubles as a statement: diverse voices matter on screen. The night includes live music, a DJ set, art installations, and plenty of food and drinks, alongside reflections on a decade of storytelling.

Cruise to the Slow & Low: Chicago Lowrider Festival.
More than 250 lowriders take over Navy Pier for a celebration of custom cars and the culture that shapes them. Since 2011, Slow & Low has highlighted the artistry and community roots of the lowrider movement, blending history, identity, and pure spectacle. The result is part car show, part block party, and entirely Chicago.
