The town of Itasca hosts outdoor concerts at various locations around the city on select Wednesday evenings throughout the summer months. Always free to the general public, the Itasca Outdoor Concert Series offers family entertainment, and concertgoers are welcome to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets. Mark your calendar for upcoming concerts, including Sealed With a Kiss on July 30 along the River Walk near Wine With Me, and Prairie Station on August 6 at Peacock Park.

Starting on August 1, the three-day Taste of Roselle Festival is one of the biggest food events of the year in Chicago's Northwest Suburbs. Dozens of vendors will be on-site, offering the best food from Roselle and beyond. The festival also includes a craft show, daily bingo, a variety of live music and entertainment, with a carnival-like atmosphere that includes rides and games. Taste of Roselle takes place along a lengthy stretch of Main Street through the heart of the village.

The 68th annual Cornfest will return to Rolling Meadows on August 2, 2025. August 9 marks the return of Heritage Fest to the village of Arlington Heights. Hosted by the Arlington Heights Historical Museum from 9 am to 12 pm, this festival offers an opportunity to celebrate the diversity of the local community through exhibits, demonstrations, and live performances. A wide variety of food will also be available for purchase, and the Heritage Fest offers a fun, family-friendly environment.
- Des Plaines Food Truck Roundup - 1501 Ellinwood St, Des Plaines, IL 60016
A recurring event in Des Plaines that takes place at a different location each month throughout the summer, the Des Plaines Food Truck Roundup returns to the Des Plaines Library Plaza from 5 to 8 pm on August 19. Catch some of the best food trucks in Chicagoland at this event, and stick around for live music starting at 5:30. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to watch the show, and leashed pets are also welcome.

One of the biggest Labor Day celebrations in all of Chicagoland, the annual Septemberfest attracts as many as 100,000 attendees to the suburb of Schaumburg. This year's Septemberfest will be held at the Prairie Center for the Arts from August 30 to September 1. Across three days, the festival will include major musical acts on multiple stages, plus carnival rides and games, culminating with a massive fireworks display.
