  • Fireside Restaurant & Lounge - 5739 N Ravenswood Ave, Chicago, IL 60660
    Established in 1904, Fireside Restaurant & Lounge has been a staple of Chicago's North Side for well over a century. The restaurant is nestled in the Andersonville neighborhood, where it has earned a reputation for top-notch Cajun-influenced pub grub. Menu highlights include steak tacos, blackened catfish and build-your-own burgers. Fireside Restaurant & Lounge offers an all-weather patio with a retractable roof, as well as a cozy indoor fireplace. 

  • Pilsen Yards - 1163 W 18th St, Chicago, IL 60608
    Pilsen Yards is a hip hangout that serves up craft cocktails alongside tasty Mexican fare. The patio at Pilsen Yards is not only covered, it also has a radiant-heated cement floor to ensure comfortable dining even when temperatures plummet. It's frequently cited as one of the best patios in Chicago regardless of the season, with romantic lighting and frequent live music adding to the experience. The tacos are also some of the best in town.

Fully covered and adorned in festive lights, this is easily one of the best patios in Chicago. Best of all, it's pet-friendly.

  • Osito's Tap - 2553 S Ridgeway Ave, Chicago, IL 60623
    You'll find a lot of great restaurants in Little Village, a colorful neighborhood on the west side of Chicago that has been dubbed the "Mexico of the Midwest." When it comes to year-round patio dining, Osito's Tap is hard to beat. Opened in 2019, this speakeasy-style bar features a Latin-inspired menu and an excellent variety of tequila and mezcal. The outdoor patio at Osito's Tap has an awning to protect it from rain and snow and heaters to keep diners warm all winter. 

  • Wood - 3335 N Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60657
    Wood has been serving up large and small plates like local heirloom tomato toast and dry-aged burgers cooked over a wood fire since 2012. In addition to a rustic-chic interior with plushy booths, Wood also offers a cozy four-season patio where eaters can enjoy their meal or cocktail to the glow of a warm heater and twinkling string lights.
