Chicago is often considered to be one of the most haunted cities in America. With Halloween right around the corner, our real estate agents are here to share their favorite haunted Chicago ghost tours this season.

  • The Original Chicago Hauntings Ghost Tour - 520 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60605
One of Chicago's longest-running ghost tours, the Original Chicago Hauntings Ghost Tour has been illuminating the city's ghostly past for 24 years. This guided walking tour includes a visit to the location of the tragic Iroquois Theater Fire, the site of the notorious gangland execution known as the St. Valentine's Day Massacre, and the Hancock Building, one of the inspirations behind Ghostbusters. Tours take place on Saturdays at 7 pm, and tour groups meet up at the Congress Lounge bar inside the Congress Plaza Hotel.

  • Windy City Ghosts - 2021 N Burling St, Chicago, IL 60614
It doesn't have to be Halloween to discover Chicago's haunted past — the tours from Windy City Ghosts take place daily, year-round — but there's no better time to visit the city's haunted bars and alleys. Meet up at Oz Park to begin your tour, which will tell the tales of gangsters, bootleggers and shipwrecks as it visits sites like the notoriously haunted Red Lion Pub and Biograph Theater. Windy City Ghosts tours begin at 8 pm nightly, rain or shine.

  • Official Ghost Tour of Naperville - 35 S Washington St, Naperville, IL 60540
Less than 30 miles from Downtown Chicago, the historic suburb of Naperville has a haunted past of its own. You'll learn all about it on the Official Ghost Tour of Naperville, which has been thrilling and terrifying visitors since 2008. Naperville Ghost Tours are offered on Fridays and Saturdays through the first weekend in November. This year's tour focuses on a notorious 1912 burial and grave-robbing incident at Naperville Cemetery.

  • Chicago Gangsters & Ghosts Tour - 71 East W Wacker Dr, Chicago, IL 60601
Chicago may be known as a haunted city, but it's also known for its history of organized crime during the 1920s and 30s. You'll learn about both when you take part in the fascinating Chicago Gangsters & Ghosts Tour. This tour begins at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in the Chicago Loop and visits infamous haunted gangster hangouts.

  • Lincoln Park Zoo Haunted History Tour - 2001 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60614
The beautiful Lincoln Park Zoo might not be on your list of haunted spots in Chicago, but the zoo has a surprising past. As you'll learn on the Lincoln Park Zoo Haunted History Tour, the land that the zoo now occupies was once a cemetery, and it has some spine-tingling stories to tell. Tours depart on Tuesday and Wednesday nights in October at 7 and 8:30 pm.

  • The Devil in the White City: A Haunting History Tour - 520 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60605, USA
Inspired by the book of the same name, The Devil in the White City: A Haunting History Tour explores locations related to the notorious serial killer H.H. Holmes, who was active during the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. This combination bus and walking tour includes stops in the Prairie Avenue Historic District, Jackson Park, Midway Plaisance Park and the 'Murder Castle' in which Holmes killed his victims.
