It's about to be Halloween in Chicagoland, and our real estate agents are ready to celebrate. The Windy City offers endless ways to enjoy the spookiest season — if you're searching for fun, family-friendly Halloween events in Chicagoland, you've come to the right place. 

  • Night of 1,000 Jack-O-Lanterns - 1000 Lake Cook Rd, Glencoe, IL 60022
    Experiencing the Chicago Botanic Garden after-hours is a great way to spend a crisp fall night, and Night of 1,000 Jack-O-Lanterns offers a chance to do just that. Taking place from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm on the evenings of October 16 to 20 and 23 to 27, this event will bring the gardens to light with hundreds of intricately carved pumpkins. There will also be pumpkin-carving demonstrations, costumed entertainers and a variety of snacks and beverages for purchase — including adult beverages — making Night of 1,000 Jack-O-Lanterns a great time for kids and grown-ups alike in Glencoe. 

  • All Hallows Eve at the Naper Settlement - 523 S Webster St, Naperville, IL 60540
    An open-air living history museum in the western suburb of Naperville, the Naper Settlement offers an entertaining schedule of special events throughout the year. On October 18-19, All Hallows Eve at the Naper Settlement promises a wide range of spooky all-ages fun. Highlights include Screams from the Unknown, an 800-square-foot outdoor haunted experience, and the annual Dress for the Dead Costume Contest. The festival includes live entertainment, laser tag, axe throwing, a spooky maze and plenty of food and drink. Tickets are just $20 per person. 

  • Arts in the Dark 2024 - State St, Chicago, IL 60604
    Now in its 10th season, Arts in the Dark has become a beloved Halloween event in Chicago. This lavish Halloween parade is dedicated to celebrating Halloween as an artists' holiday, and it includes a spectacular array of lavish floats and dynamic performances. Taking place in the Loop in the heart of downtown Chicago, the Arts in the Dark parade will move down State Street from Lake Street southward toward Van Buren. Attendees can count on a truly awe-inspiring spectacle starting at 6 pm on October 19.

  • Pumpkin Patch at Margate - 4921 N Marine Dr, Chicago, IL 60640
    If you find yourself in Uptown Chicago on October 19, be sure to swing by the lakefront Margate Park, which will be hosting a pop-up Halloween party and pumpkin patch that day. Pumpkin Patch at Margate runs from 10 am to 2 pm, and it's one of many Halloween events being held at various locations by the Chicago Parks District throughout October. Kids can pick out their favorite pumpkin to take home from the Pumpkin Patch at Margate, as well as enjoy carnival games, inflatables, live music and an interactive experience at the Zoo to You mobile petting zoo. 

  • Halloween Party at West Lawn - 4233 W 65th St, Chicago, IL 60629
    Located in the friendly West Lawn neighborhood on Chicago's southwest side, the annual Halloween Party at West Lawn is an event that brings the whole community together. Expect a day packed with activities like trick-or-treating, costume contests, spooky-themed games, and more. It's a great event for families with young kids, and it takes place at West Lawn Park from 4 pm to 6 pm on October 31. This is a great opportunity to take advantage of a fun, safe place to dress up and trick-or-treat on Halloween!
