There's no doubt about it — vintage is in. From rich woods and rattan textures to bold patterns and throwback colors, the furniture of yesteryear is very much in style right now. As if it ever really went away!

If you're looking for a few antique pieces to decorate your Chicagoland home, our real estate agents are here to help. These are some of our favorite local places to shop for vintage furniture and decor in Chicagoland.

  • Beyond Grandma's House - 2321 N Keystone Ave Rear Garden, Chicago, IL 60639
One of the most unique specialty antique shops in Chicago, Beyond Grandma's House offers a carefully curated selection of vintage goods and collectibles. You never know what you'll find in this overflowing shop housed in a former boiler room, from secondhand furniture and antique light fixtures to gramophones and novelty kitchenware. Beyond Grandma's House is nestled in the Hermosa neighborhood, just west of Logan Park.

  • P.O.S.H. - 613 N State St, Chicago, IL 60654
An ever-changing selection of throwbacks greet each visitor to P.O.S.H., a charming antique store in River North. This is an especially great place to shop for kitchen and tableware. P.O.S.H. focuses on antique silver, vintage glassware and bar accessories, pottery, linens, tea sets and other beautifully preserved wares from the kitchens and dining rooms of yesterday.

  • Jackson Square Antique & Vintage Marketplace - 112 E Burlington Ave #1, La Grange, IL 60525
If you find yourself in the western suburb of La Grange, less than 30 minutes from Downtown Chicago, you won't want to miss Jackson Square Antique & Vintage Marketplace. This sprawling market includes multiple vendor booths that each offer their own unique selections of treasures. There's always an abundance of furniture and decor here, from table-and-chair sets to artwork and pottery. With more than two dozen vendors, the variety of the finds here can't be beaten.

  • Vern + Vera - 5856 N Broadway, Chicago, IL 60660
The Edgewater neighborhood on the North Side of Chicago is known for its antique stores and there are several excellent ones here. Vern + Vera is a great option if you're looking for a shop with a specific aesthetic and curated selection. This trendy spot specializes in furnishings, lighting and decor with a clean, modernist aesthetic from the 60s through the 80s. If that's your style, this 1,500-foot space might just be your heaven on earth.

  • Treasures Depot - 3455 S Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60608
Located in the McKinley Park community on Chicago's Southwest Side, Treasures Depot leans more in the direction of a thrift store than an antique shop, making it a great place to score a serious bargain. Vintage furniture is frequently available here, as well as a constant but ever-changing selection of kitchenware, home decor, household items and odds-and-ends.

  • The Lazy Dog Antique Store - 1903 W Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60657
It's always a pleasure to browse the overflowing shelves of The Lazy Dog Antique Store, a locally-owned shop that puts household decor and furnishings front and center. You're as likely to walk away with a mid-century lamp, an Art Deco sofa, a vintage barbershop chair, or a 1930s typewriter. The Lazy Dog Antique Store is nestled in Roscoe Village, a charming and lively neighborhood that is often referred to as the "village within the city."
