Forbes recently ranked Chicago among the Best Cities for Dogs in 2024, and we have to agree. Chicago has always embraced pets with open arms, and today our real estate agents are eager to share some of their favorite pet-friendly shops in Chicagoland!

  • The Spoke & Bird - 1248 W 18th St, Chicago, IL 60608
    One of Chicago's best pet-friendly bakeries, The Spoke & Bird is a warm, welcoming spot in the Pilsen neighborhood on the city's Lower West Side. Leashed pooches are welcome in their breezy outdoor seating area. While you and Fido relax, you can enjoy one of Spoke & Bird's scratch-made baked goods and outstanding espresso drinks. 

  • Wigglyville Pet Boutique - 1137 W Madison St, Chicago, IL 60607
    Established in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood in 2011, Wigglyville Pet Boutique is a one-stop shop for all your pets' needs. The shop offers food, treats, toys, supplies and just about anything else you might need to keep your furry pals healthy, happy, clean and well-fed. Wigglyville Pet Boutique also offers pet grooming services, and they're walkable from several great pet-friendly parks. 

  • Barks N' Rec - 3030 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60657
    Located in the lively Lake View neighborhood not far from the Lake Michigan shoreline, Barks N' Rec is one of the most respected dog boarding businesses in Chicago. With friendly staff and a calm, welcoming atmosphere, this is a place where pooches can stay and play in comfort and safety. Barks N' Rec offers boarding, doggie daycare, dog grooming and training services. 

  • Liz's Pet Shop - 2403 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60622
    Though Chicago offers no shortage of outstanding pet supply stores, Liz's Pet Shop is routinely ranked among the best of the best. This long-running favorite in McKinley Park offers a tremendous selection of pet food and supplies for cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, and more.   • Portage Grounds Coffee & Tea - 5501 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60641
    An excellent pet-friendly cafe, Portage Grounds opened its doors in the Portage Park neighborhood in 2013. They're known to keep pet treats on hand for furry customers, and they typically have a water bowl at the ready for thirsty pooches. Portage Grounds also serves great food and drinks to its human customers, including pour-over coffee, local baked goods and an excellent tea selection. 

  • Two Bostons - 1900 S Randall Rd Ste 140, Geneva, IL 60134
    A huge pet supply store with an unbeatable selection, Two Bostons has been a top spot for pet lovers in Chicago's western suburbs for more than 17 years. From pet food and treats to leashes, collars, toys, beds, blankets and grooming supplies, they pretty much have it all. In addition to this location in Geneva, Two Bostons has several additional spots in the Chicago suburbs, including in Naperville and Wheaton.
  • Noah's Ark Pet Store - 831 Elm St, Winnetka, IL 60093
    This locally-owned pet supply store has been serving the northern suburbs of Chicago for over 20 years. Visitors to Noah's Ark enjoy a wide selection of pet supplies and knowledgeable staff who are there to offer advice on pet nutrition, training and supplements.
